Did you love singing in your high school or college choir? Were you formerly in a church choir, and you miss the joy of singing with others? If either of these are true for you, we invite you to join us in singing at our Christmas Eve Communion Service on December 24th at 5pm.
Our service will last no more than an hour, and you’ll still have time for Christmas Eve dinner with your family and friends. Our practice schedule for this service will be on Sundays on the following dates:
- November 12, 4:30-6pm
- November 19, 4:30-6pm
- December 3, 4:30-6pm
- December 17, 4:30-6pm
We will be leading the congregation in carols that are familiar to you, and will sing at least two to three of the following pieces:
- When Love Came Down Townend arr. Shackley (youtube videocrazi)
- Shine on Us Michael W. Smith arr. Schrader (hopepublishing.com)
- Mary Did You Know Lowry/Green arr. Schrader (youtube – Hope publishing)
- Mary Had A Baby William Dawson (youtube – Mark Manning)
You can listen to each of these at the sites listed in parentheses. For Mary Did You Know, we’re not using handbells. Mary Had A Baby is a acapella and pretty challenging, so that one will depend on the number of really experienced singers in the group.
