As we continue to grow the depths of our connection with our missions partners, we have invited Marc and Kim Wyatt to come and spend a Sunday with us. Marc works with our missions partner, CBFNC, and Kim plays a vital leadership role with CBF Global Missions. They helped found a ministry that has impact in our area, in our state, and well beyond. Kim and Marc have been Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Field Personnel since 1996. In 2025, Kim was asked to begin serving as the CBF Regional Director for North American Field Teams. Marc retired from Global Missions in 2025 to continue his work as the CBFNC Director of Welcome House Raleigh.
The Wyatts have served among refugees in Thailand, Canada, and the US. Kim and Marc are the Co-Founders of Welcome House Raleigh and Welcome Network which partners with local refugee agencies, churches, and community organizations to welcome refugees that now call North Carolina home.The ministry models Christian hospitality through temporary housing. It has inspired a network that includes more than 50 expressions across North Carolina and is present now in Knoxville, Tennessee, Roanoke, Virginia, Charleston, South Carolina and Waco, Texas.
In addition to housing, Welcome House Raleigh seeks to meet felt needs of refugee and immigrant neighbors through English as a Second Language, family friends, medical mentors, and community engagement through partnerships and collaborations with churches, agencies, schools, and government organizations. The Wyatt’s seek to empower the Kingdom efforts of churches, mission organizations and individuals reaching out to refugees, immigrants (documented and otherwise), international students, visiting scholars and their families, and those unfortunately caught in modern day slavery – the trafficked. Their heart’s desire is for the nations whom God has brought from the ends of the earth to our hometowns to be welcomed by his church and discover the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
